What Went Wrong?

I sit here asking myself what in the world went wrong? How in the world did this so called men of God allow themselves to be used by other forces other then our Lord's?

It's hard for me to figure that one out. Because looking at my life, and I consider my self the least, bottom of the barrel when it comes to serving God, but as for my wife and I, having worked with the young people's group and Jr's, and raising quite a bit of funds for their trips to Disney Land, Magic Mountain and lots of other activities we never misused any funds. We even paid our own way to all the functions, not wanting to use money that the parents had helped work hard to raise for the young people. Quite a few times, even the stuff that we had to buy for the fund raisers came from our own pockets.

I know we all fall short of being perfect, and don't look at men in place of God, but I expect my leaders to be a little better then me, and believe me that wouldn't be hard to do.

Right now with the pastor we have, I think we would be better off without one. Healthy Pastors what a joke. I guess as long they send in their quotas they can go on mistreating the congregations as they please.

I tried once to to inform the bishop of things that were happening, and he hit me up with slander and defamation, I was asking for help and got shot down, and this same Bishop was a member of the QC in 2006. How do you think that makes me feel?

You hide behind the the pulpit "don't touch God's Anointed". What about a better one, "God tells the Pastors and Bishops not to scatter the flock and mistreat them". Follow that one, maybe we will learn to respect you again.

Sure, our Pastor uses the Staff, but not to gather the flock, but to beat us with it.

God Have Mercy on all Of Us.

Lastly, we are guilty for the most part in saying that our fellowship, the Apostolic Assembly, is the church when in reality it is not. The Church is not the Apostolic Assembly nor is the Apostolic Assembly the Church. The Apostolic Assembly is only an organization to which the members who believe in Jesus Christ become individual members of the Bride of Christ which is the Church. As you well know, the Church is the living and vibrant organism in which there is no spot or blemish and the Apostolic Assembly is the organization in which we have challenges to amend and modify. The Head of the Church is Jesus Christ and the head of our beloved fellowship is Bishop President Daniel G. Sánchez. If indeed our organization is of God (Acts 5:34-39), this fellowship will stand this present challenge. We would be well served to study the course of extra- Biblical church history and the challenges it has gone through to get us where we are today. Thank God that we have had men and women that have risen to the occasion when called upon (i.e. Esther, John the Baptist, Stephen, Polycarp, John Huss, William Tyndale, Martin Luther, etc.).Quote from apostolicassembly.info

I guess Lord Acton was correct when he stated " absolute power corrupts absoluteley. "

When dealing with mere men I guess you can expect no less. However you tend to hope that there are exemplary Men of God out there especially members of our governing body.

And I know there are but who can tell the difference ? Who are the sheep and who are the wolves ?

Time will tell and the truth shall be ultimately revealed.

The General Board performs various roles ranging from setting and executing Church policy to judging grievances at all levels. The bylaws allow board members to be elected for four-year terms, but in practice their tenures are longer. The Board president traditionally serves two contiguous terms, and re-elections are not generally contested. After a four-year hiatus, former presidents can be re-elected to two additional terms, as was the case of Bishop Baldemar Rodriguez. Other board members are also re-elected, or have otherwise occupied other general board positions for several terms.

All members of the Board are also called Bishops as established by the organization's laws, but their authority exceeds that of the general episcopate because the General Board is the court of last resort in all Church matters. Recent reforms restrict Board members to two positions. They can hold a board position as well as another full-time responsibility such as pastoring a Church or overseeing a group of congregations as a District Bishop.

The General Board is elected every four years at an electoral convention. Only pastors are eligible to vote, in past times ministers could also vote, but this was repealed after alleged voting irregularities by previous officials. These elections lead to the selection of a Bishop President who heads the Board of Directors (Mesa Directiva) and the Episcopal Body. The Board of Directors also includes a Bishop Vicepresident, General Secretary, General Treasurer, Secretary of Foreign Missions, Secretary of National Missions, Secretary of Christian Education, and a Secretary of Social Assistance.

For Del Campo if you can't eat after all this!!!!

1501 Gaylord Trail, (Gaylord Texan Resort), Grapevine, TX, 76051
Celebrity chef Stephan Pyles has designed an amazing menu embracing the Southwest Cuisine for which he is renowned. Located inside the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, the menu at Ama Lur features dishes influenced by Native American, Spanish and Portuguese cultures, some of the most well received foods include tapas, tamales, tacos and a variety of beef and seafood-based dishes. The ambiance makes one feel they are in the heart of the Texas Hill Country as they dine within the Southwest themed atrium. No visit to Ama Lur is complete without a tequila-based cocktail from the Margarita Bar, which opens earlier for Happy Hour and closes later for the party crowd.

If found guilty of election fraud, I don't know about the rest, But a very good friend of mine lost his Credentials due to a call from Gaxiola for a far smaller incident then election fraud now thats a criminal offense.
Shouldn't Gaxiola be measured by the same stick he measured with as it says in the bible. In my opinion his credentials should be revoked!!!

I can personally tell you that Rev. ‘Repentant’ Roger did his best to separate a church from a property they owned at a greatly reduced price. He tried to get the pastor to believe he was doing him a favor. The only one who stood to gain from the transaction was Roger. At the same time, he cause the church to miss an opportunity to purchase an exceptional property to build a new church.

BTW – Roger was sent by Pacheco last year Revoked License and all! Only Roger & Eddie know what kind of a kick back is paid out on deals like that
That right there is $ 100.000 dollars fine.

Seems Eddie knows how to get People to do his dirty work, and come out on top and with a board postion after the con jobs he has pulled.

Its time for this Rat to leave and face the music once and for all.

The apostolics are going to spent at least $10,000,000. dollars this week in Texas . $1,500. dollars per person.
To hear 8 preachers that's the equivalent to $1,250,000. per sermon. They better be good.

It is true that the AAFCJ is listed as a cult, but it does not make it so. There are certain things we as true Oneness Believers must recognize and learn from. The Trinitarian community has many of the things that we AAFCJ do not have and that is, they stick together in their core belief of a triune god. I know, you know, we all know there is but One God; yet here we are branding, labeling, denigrating, and ridiculing the leaders that God has allowed to direct this section of God's body. We need to pray more earnestly believing in the One that saved us from the ways of the world. I hate to say it but we sound more like the Mexicans we sometimes say we are not. The type that if his brother advances in any way shape or form in life, especially in their ministerial endeavors, gets immediately pulled by at least several of his fellow "brothers in the faith" by actions such as the ones all over the blog world today. If we are truly incensed with the issue of the GB, why have we not flooded our local congregations with prayers and fasting, petitions and supplications to God to remove the "heathen Leaders" we now have? I will tell you why. We are very quick to judge when our own hide is not at stake. We hide under this type of communication to dump our spiritual sewage, Those things that defile the heart of man. If we are truly Apostolic, if we are truly born again, and follow Jesus, why have we not been able to do the simplest of tasks, Unite in the Spirit of the Lord and Do the Lord's Will. If Trinitarian believers can do it why can't we? Maybe we would have less turmoil in our Assembly if we let the LORD handle His Business. The Bible says:
Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. 20Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
The Bible says we must obey the leaders God has placed to lead us. Who are we to Judge who stays and who goes from the GB? If we truly love the LORD, and the AAFCJ, then let's show it by uniting in prayer and let the Lord deal with the wrong doers whom ever they may be. We either belong to the Lord and the AA, or are we just a bunch of discontent losers upset that we were not selected by God for a task such as this.
I'm nobody in the Apostolic Assembly and may be too ignorant of the goings on of the same but I tell you, I rather have my faith solidly set on the Lord's calling in my life to witness and save souls, than to waste time and cry like a sore loser. Who will be man and Christian enough to say to the GB; "I'm sorry that I ever doubted your integrity Bishop..." once this all comes to pass and the Constitution of the Apostolic Assembly Stands unshakable and triumphant in Court? We are sometimes so ignorant that we baffle ourselves with our ignominious frame of mind. Just because we say it is wrong does not make it wrong.

I Hope I can get at least a few "Amen" to my comment. If not, no problem. But, When the wrath of God comes down on the true Wrong doers, I know they will not be coming to this forum to say they were wrong and that God has been dealing with them a hard rebuke.
bye, bye!

The 80-year-old leader of a suburban Atlanta megachurch is at the center of a sex scandal of biblical dimensions: He slept with his brother's wife and fathered a child by her.

Members of Archbishop Earl Paulk's family stood at the pulpit of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit at Chapel Hill Harvester Church a few Sundays ago and revealed the secret exposed by a recent court-ordered paternity test.

Jan Royston, who left the church in 1992, started an online support group for former members to discuss their crushed faith and hurt feelings.

"This is a cult. And you escape from a cult," she said. "We all escaped."

A former top official of the Pentecostal church pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor sexual misconduct charge that came after he tried to engage in a sex act with another man in a St. Charles park.

The Rev. Ronald Oree Nation, 70, was the Sunday School director of the United Pentecostal Church International. The denomination, based in Hazelwood, claims 2.6 million members worldwide, including 760,000 in this country.

Nation was among 11 men arrested after a two-month undercover police investigation last fall at DuSable Park, which is near the Missouri riverfront and the Katy Trail. Police say the men propositioned the officers on a back parking lot at the north end of the park.

Nation's sentence was suspended providing he successfully completes a two-year probation. Terms of his probation include staying away from any park for the purpose of solicitation.

If Nation violates his probation, he could get a maximum sentence of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine. He had no prior convictions.

Formal charges were filed against only three other men in the investigation. Their cases are still pending.

Nation was suspended without pay from his church post after the charges became public. He had planned to retire on Feb. 1.

The Rev. Jerry Jones, general secretary of the United Pentecostal Church International, did not return phone calls Thursday.

ALL OF YOU WHO ARE WRITING THIS AGAINST THE APOSTOLIC ASSEMBLY AND THEIR LEADERS IS NON-SENSE>>>> Murmuring is the mother of evil speaking, backbiting, strife, contention, division, hard feelings, misunderstanding and separation. Murmuring gives satan a place, allowing him to come in like a flood. WHY DO YOU REMAIN ANONYMOUS ???? i WANT TO PRAY FOR YOU> i AM BRO. VALDEZ

No sir Bobby....The Bible says the Love of money is the root of all evil....how much of that is the GB making?

Im a teenager who is reading all this .... and all i want to ask is what would you do in their place ? Instead of just talking about it go do something about it. It's easy talking about how to run things but when you are pressured and stressed its hard. Think about the future generations. MY generation! The bible says to help one another. We ALL make mistakes but God forgives us. You are missing the main thing here. GOD! In the end he will judge. And even if these men made mistakes i doubt you're right in judging them.

tejano said...

Let me ask you...Do you fear God? Do you believe that the church is man made? or God ordained?

If the assembly is the branch that God has placed you in that connects you to the Body of Christ? Would you do what these men did?

That's a very good question brother tejano. And please don't be too surprised if they even make more stupid and obvious mistakes again at the 2010 Anaheim (Sanchez to Valverde) Confections!

Brothers & Sisters in Christ. Let me first start by saying that I was raised in the Apostolic Church from childhood but I fell and was out of the church until recently. I am wiser by God's grace and through His word. And by His word I bring to you this.

Titus 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
3:2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

I understand the frustration that some may have but this does not give us the right to speak ill of those in authority of us. The Bible clearly gives us course of action in these situations.

1Titus 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
5:18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
5:19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.
5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
5:21 I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

These verses speak to both parties involved.

I have no animosity towards either party; only the will to share God's words spoken on this matter almost two thousand years ago.

God Bless. :)
